Smart watches biggest bottleneck is the battery life

To 2017, the global wearable fitness tracking devices and smart phone market scale will reach 45 million, and now includes the world's leading technology giants and electronics manufacturers have began to launch its own products to prepare for this new market areas.
Although the smart watches and other wearable devices market outlook is very uncertain, is now very popular in the state, but currently lives in ordinary consumers that they can not play a crucial role. Smart watch, for example, most of the intelligent design of the watch is not only ugly, but very heavy, due to the fancy electronic equipment from too close and unattractive to consumers.
In this week's 2014 New York City on wearable technology exhibition, Pebble Smart Watch Chief Product Specialist Myriam Joire said the reason for the smart watch now still not well developed, the culprit is actually from the battery section. "Battery is the greatest challenge currently facing wearable device you want." Myriam Joire said.

"Most of the smart watches are using a 130 Miliamp battery that smart to make a light bulb stick 30 minutes to one hour's time." And Pebble with most wearable device companies, are trying through a variety of ways possible to extend battery life, so now Pebble can stick a week's time. However, larger capacity battery means to increase the volume, this is not the consumers are willing to see.
Myriam Joire think flexible battery technology will be a strong push forward the smart watch market in the next few years, and allows them to play a greater role in the consumer's wrist.
"This is actually a relatively tough choice, either as Pebble uses the same low-resolution black and white monochrome screen, or to choose good effect colorful hours AMOLED screen, but also the response of consumption to improve." Myriam Joire said
